Sir, - Daniel Finn (May 22nd) made many excellent points about anti-capitalist protests. One need not be a dyed-in-the-wool Marxist to see that capitalism is not unlike a runaway train whose only destination is profit for a few at the expense of many. Nor need one be a student of economics. One good look at what is going on in the world will suffice.
Capitalism will forever be a threat to democracy. Therefore it is essential that anti-capitalist protests continue to flourish. - Yours, etc.,
