Sir, – Is it too much to expect that an up-to-date on-line version of our Constitution be made available on Government websites?

Constitution.ie– the all-party committee on the Constitution website, and even Supremecourt.ie, have the same outdated version, which only goes as far as the 27th amendment 2004. We have had two referendums since then, in 2009 and 2011, and another one looming.

It would be interesting to do an information audit to see what other important documents and data are so poorly maintained on taxpayer-sponsored websites. Perhaps you could start a “100 insults to our democracy” thread?

Insult 1. Maintain a copy of the Irish Constitution on relevant Government websites, but make sure it is at least five years out of date. – Yours, etc,
