Sir, - Recently at Dublin Airport my attention was drawn by Dublin Bus's relatively new Airlink buses (nos. 747, 748 etc.) in their striking green and yellow colours.
I was admiring the way Dublin Bus had the destinations painted in French, Italian and German, until I read the latter: "Bus Verbindung Zu den Bus und Zagbahnofen in Dublin". This translates as "Bus connection to the bus and timid [flinching or faint-hearted] station oven in Dublin", it should be "Zugbahnhofen".
Can someone in Dublin Bus get a paint brush and correct this before some sensitive German-speaking visitor sees it and takes the next plane home? - Yours, etc.,
K Fagan, Whitton Road, Dublin 6.
