Sir, - This morning, I tried to book a return flight from Shannon to London on Aer Lingus, leaving next Monday. I was quoted £294 for a two-night mid-week trip. AB Shannon to Gatwick came out rather better at £144. But Ryanair quoted me £59 from Dublin to Stansted. So, as usual, I have opted to travel via Dublin, a considerable saving of money, but an enormous expenditure of time.No wonder the West is not getting its share of tourists. They can't afford to get here. - Yours, etc., Judy DenisonAbbey House,Killaloe,Co Clare
