Sir, – There is a marked difference in the amount of money spent on traffic control and general road improvements between the wealthier areas of Dublin and the less well off. Fassaugh Road in Cabra is an example. It is in a congested area with a very high percentage of children and a high level of through-traffic. Such areas should be prioritised for the implementation of traffic controls and upgrades, yet they are left until last.
Lives are just as precious in Cabra and it is unjust to neglect these areas because they do not have enough influence in the right places. – Yours, etc,
