Madam, - While news of further improvements to the facilities of Dublin Airport, particularly a new terminal, is to be welcomed it still does not address one of the fundamental problems of the airport - access to it. At times it can take 30 minutes to get in and out of the airport and that does not include the use of long-term parking.
If a city the size of Belfast can sustain two airports then surely the case for Dublin having a second airport is unanswerable. It is time the Minister for Transport revisited the notion of opening Baldonnel to civilian airlines. - Yours, etc.,
BRENDAN MC MAHON, Elmwood, Naas, Co Kildare.
