Sir, - At long last, do we have the answer to the perennial question of what to do with Liberty Hall? On mature reflection of a few nanoseconds, I think not.
In Jack Fagan's article (Property, June 19th) on Chesterbridge Developments' plan to build high rise apartments to replace the flats in Sheriff Street, the promoters claim that the 20 storey apartment tower would provide a "balance to Liberty Hall".
If this is one of the bases for highrise buildings in Dublin, God help the fair city.
The advisers to Chesterbridge must have just emerged from outer space after 30 years, not realising how Liberty Hall is viewed, and that two wrongs do not make a right. They will have to find a better excuse to get away with such buildings in Dublin. Yours, etc.,
