Sir, – Reading your excellent special supplement, “1912: Home Rule and Ulster’s Resistance” (April 25th) and mindful of the commemorations adumbrated through to 1922, I found myself musing on what your erstwhile contributor, Myles Na gCopaleen would have made of it all.
Would he have commented (as he did on another occasion): “We are in danger of commemorating ourselves to death”? – Yours, etc,
