Sir, – Regarding the report on the assets of religious orders (“How religious orders are sitting on assets worth hundreds of millions of euro”, News, September 14th), instead of simply demanding compensation to victims, what about bringing forward plans to divest all schools of Catholic (or other religious) patronage?
The case for secularisation has been persuasively made by the appalling record of the church over decades. – Yours, etc,
