Sir, – In spite of the eternal complaints of the moaners and begrudgers, this wonderful city of Dublin has changed so much over the decades, in so many positive ways. When I was young you could scarcely buy an avocado or an aubergine, and pesto hadn’t even been heard of. Yesterday, on my way to work, I saw a magpie dragging a box of sushi down Dawson Street. – Yours, etc,
ANDY THEODORE,
Dublin 15.
