A chara, – While the busy commercial season is around the corner, how about shop personnel saying “May I have your name please?” while using a bit of eye-contact at the same time? The usual “What’s the name?” with eyes down rings a little hollow as it is so impersonal. The assistant could close the transaction with a “Thank you” and dare I suggest a smile?
