Sir, – Blessington Street Basin (Dublin’s “secret garden’') is not, as stated, “a former leg of the Grand Canal’' (”Live beside a secret garden”, Residential Property, November 16th).
This oasis in the heart of the capital is, of course, a former leg of the Royal Canal.
The auld triangle never went jingle-jangle all along the now gentrified banks of the Grand Canal. – Yours, etc,
