Sir, – I have to totally agree with Mary Barrett’s sentiments (Letters, April 26th). Some of the best teachers I had were nuns. One in particular stands out. She was Sr Alphonsus who taught the scholarship class in Rosslare. She taught me Latin in fifth class to stop me whingeing because my brothers were learning it to serve Mass. – Yours, etc,
