Sir, – I am a landlord who commenced a new tenancy agreement in October 2021, and duly registered with the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB), paying the required fee of €90, valid for six years.
This October I had to pay what is to be an annual fee of €40. My letting agent informs me that no refund is forthcoming for the five years already paid for and receipted.
This shows a complete disregard for landlords. While the sum involved may seem trivial, it is the precedent and principle of the action.
