A caption to a photograph in yesterday’s edition, of a Dublin family packing their shopping at a Newry shopping centre, said that the photograph was taken recently. In fact it was taken four years ago.
An article in the edition of January 29th last, concerning a High Court hearing of an allegation of fraud against Colm Watters, reported Mr Watters to be a chartered accountant, as was stated in court. A spokesman for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland has pointed out that Mr Watters is not and never has been a member of the institute.
In the Artscape column in the edition of January 31st last reference was made to the new Irish opera The Earl of Kildare. On February 27th the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra will perform Scenes and Interludes from the Earl of Kildare at the National Concert Hall. It will contain music taken from the opera arranged for symphonic forces.
