In the edition of June 2nd we reported that Joseph Burke of Barbane, Broadford, Co Clare, had been charged on two counts of interfering with or altering an animal’s ear tag along with other charges.

This was inaccurate. The actual charges in question relate to an alleged possession or control of animals “whose eartag or eartags had been interfered with in any way”. We regret the error and wish to correct the record.
