An article in yesterday’s edition, concerning an Irish-made drill used in the Chilean mining rescue, gave the wrong name for the manufacturer. It is Mincon.

In another article in yesterday’s edition, concerning Irishmen honoured for service in the Korean war, it was stated that the war began in 1950 when the south was under US military administration.

In fact, elections were held in the south in 1948. The republic was proclaimed on August 15th and it was recognised by the UN on December 12th 1948.
