A photograph of the Bishop of Clonfert, John Kirby, was used in error in yesterday’s edition when the photograph should have been of the Auxiliary Bishop of Armagh, Gerard Clifford.

The report in yesterday’s edition stated that Senator Ivana Bacik is proposing to the Dáil Committee on Procedure and Privileges that reciting a Christian prayer at the start of sittings be discontinued. She is proposing it to the Seanad committee.

A Letterkenny Circuit Court report in yesterday’s edition said that a man who sexually abused his daughter had attended therapy sessions with the National Office for the Prevention of Domestic, Sexual and Gender-based Violence. The sessions were organised by a Donegal-based family support agency.

Hugh Tunney of Tunney Meats, whose obituary was published on July 2nd, sold his company in 1992; he was one of 10 children and was born in 1927.
