An article in yesterday’s edition, concerning a rescue close to the summit of Kanchenjunga, should have stated that Himalayan expedition organiser Mingma Sherpa previously rescued the British climber Ted Atkins on Everest in 2004, and not “a” British climber as reported. The error occurred in the editing process.
