We have been asked to clarify a statement in a report of an interview with Ms Rifat Iqbal, Pakistan's ambassador to Ireland, in Wednesday's editions. Her president had been assured by the West, she said, of a swift, targeted campaign against the terrorist network in Afghanistan, without any collateral damage to civilians.
