The article headed "Ireland's oldest woman dies in Derry aged 107" in last Tuesday's editions said the late Mrs Annie O'Donnell had died at the home of relatives in Co Derry. In fact, she died in the loving care of the Sisters of Nazareth in Derry City.
An article and picture caption in last Wednesday's Commercial Property supplement said Edward Cecil Guinness was the founder of the brewery. He was in fact a descendant of the founder, Arthur Guinness.
The prize money for the international poetry competition, FΘile Fil∅ochta was given as £312,230 in last Saturday's Books pages. It should have been €312,230.
The late Mr Kevin Boland's father was Gerald, not Harry, as stated in the report headed "United Ireland was Boland's aim" in yesterday's editions. And the surviving members of the late Mr Boland's family should have included his two sisters, Eileen and Nuala.
