In an article published in The Irish Times of March 14th last, a seriously misleading headline appeared over a report of a Parades Commission conference which considered the legal issues surrounding parades by the Orange Order.
This conference was address by Mr Austen Morgan, a distinguished barrister. The headline to the report identified Mr Morgan as an Orangeman.
This was incorrect. Mr Morgan is not and never has been a member of the Orange Order.
The Irish Times is happy to clarify this matter and deeply regrets any difficulty or embarrassment caused by this error.
