NAIROBI - Zairean troops surrounded a second refugee camp for Rwandan Hutus in eastern Zaire yesterday as intense efforts to repatriate as many of them as possible continued, the UN World Food Programme (WFP) reported.
A regional spokeswoman, Ms Brenda Barton, said in Nairobi that WFP field staff near the town of Bukavu at the foot of Lake Kivu reported that the military had encircled the camp of Nyangazi Mulwa. That camp holds 26,541 Hutus.
