Jerusalem - Negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians on the implementation of the Wye accords ran into a "serious crisis" yesterday, Palestinian sources said, as Israel announced a timetable for its next West Bank pullback.
The two sides failed to agree on "how the Wye accord should be implemented, or on the timetable for its implementation," a Palestinian official, who asked not to be named, said. He said the two Palestinian negotiators had gone to Cairo after being summoned by the Palestinian leader, Mr Yasser Arafat. "The two sides did not even agree about their next meeting," the official said.
