The number of people missing in the ruins of the World Trade Centre has fallen by more than 300 to 5,641, New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said last night.
He said three more bodies had been recovered, bringing the number of bodies found to 309, 248 of which have been identified.
The toll of missing from the September 11th attack on the World Trade Centre has fluctuated repeatedly over the past week as New York authorities have cross-checked lists compiled by different sources.
