A major exhibition of the work of the late, world-renowned ecclesiastical textile designer, Beryl Dean – including tapestries never seen in public before – opens in Dublin on Thursday. Assembled from museums, private collections, and churches all over the UK, including St Paul’s
Cathedral in London, it will be a unique part of the “Knitting and Stitching Show” which runs in the RDS from November 10th-13th.
Dean is regarded as one of the 20th century’s leading exponents of modernist design in ecclesiastical embroidery.
