A Co Dublin woman had been reduced to walking the streets because her brothers sometimes locked her out of the pub above which she lived, a judge has been told. Mr Ben Garvey, counsel for Ms Leandra Campion, told Judge Michael White in the Circuit Court that she had a right to residence in rooms above Campion's public house, Balgriffin, Co Dublin.

"From time to time she finds herself locked out", he said. She was seeking to restrain her father and her brothers from locking her out.

Mr Timothy Sheehan, counsel for the Campion brothers, said that the one entrance to Ms Campion's rooms was through the pub, which was locked up from 2 a.m. to 7.30 a.m.

He said that similar proceedings initiated in the High Court had not been proceeded with and Mr Campion snr and his sons would like to have the matter resolved. Judge White adjourned Ms Campion's application pending inquiries on the status of the High Court proceedings.
