The Cavan woman killed in a road traffic accident near Cavan town yesterday morning was named last night as Ms Eilish Delaney (30) from Knocknahista, Co Cavan.
Ms Delaney was killed instantly when her car was involved in a head-on collision with a truck at 6 a.m. yesterday.
The accident happened on the Cavan to Ballinagh road, approximately two miles from the town. The driver of the truck escaped injury and was taken to Cavan General Hospital, where he was treated for shock.
