A woman has died and a man has been injured following a car crash in Co Roscommon this afternoon.
The incident happened at 4.15pm on the N5 Westport to Longford Rd at Carskeagh, Frenchpark where the car crashed into a ditch.
The 53-year-old male driver and a 65-year-old female passenger were both injured in the crash and taken to Castlebar General Hospital where the woman was later pronounced dead.
The man is still being treated in hospital. The road was closed for forensic collision examination but has since reopened.
