A woman has died in a house fire in south Dublin.
The 52-year-old was the sole occupant of the house in Belgrave Square, Monkstown at the time of the fire which is believed to have started shortly before 11pm last night.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel. Although gardaí are investigating the incident, the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
A Garda spokesman said that the scene has been cordoned off and the garda technical bureau will carry out a forensic examination of the area.

“A post mortem is due to take place on he woman’s body later today,” he said.
