Gardaí at Clondalkin are appealing for the public's help following a serious assault in Ballymount, Dublin 24, last Monday.
At about 11.45am a woman in her 20s was attacked by a man while out walking in Ballymount Park. Following a struggle, the attacker escaped on foot toward the M50.
The woman was treated at Tallaght hospital for her injuries and has been discharged. The scene was technically examined, and a number of statements have been taken by gardaí.
The man is described as about 30 years old, of average height and build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a black leather jacket.
Gardaí are appealing, in particular, to motorists to contact them if they saw the man while travelling on the M50 between Junction 10, Ballymount, and Junction 9, Red Cow, between 10.30am and 12.30pm on May 30th.

Gardaí added that, contrary to rumours, they have have no reports of any other similar incidents in the Tallaght/Clondalkin area.
