A woman (25) died this morning when the car she was driving collided with another car in Cork city today.
Two men - one a passenger in the dead woman's car and the other the driver of the second car - were injured in the crash, which took place on Commons Road at 1.00am.
All three were taken to Cork University Hospital. The injured men are not believed to be seriously hurt.
Meanwhile, a second man has died as a result of a crash in Limerick on Friday.
The man was the driver of the car involved in a collision on the N21 at Clogh, Rathkeale. He died yesterday evening in Limerick Regional Hospital, a Garda statement said.
The dead man was named as 31-year-old Polish national Adam Zajac, with an address in Castletroy.
The other man killed was also Polish and living in Castletroy. He was 30-year-old Tomasz Stelmaszczuk.
