Former European number one Lee Westwood has lost the services of his bagman Dave Renwick because of the Englishman's continued slump in form, according the BBC.

Renwick left double-major winner Vijay Singh last year to take up Westwood's bag but after a U-turn decision he will resume services with the Fijian.

The 49-year-old caddie helped Singh to glory in the 1998 USPGA and 2000 Masters and also assisted two other major winners, Jose-Maria Olazabal in the 1994 Masters and Steve Elkington in the 1995 USPGA.

This high level of success is stark contrast to what Renwick has been experiencing off late, considering Westwood's recent form on the fairways. The European number one in 2000 and former world top 10 player has slumped to 157th and 246th in the respective rankings.

Renwick was also feeling the pinch as a caddy's wages are determined but a cut in the player's prize money, which has been considerably diminished for Westwood during his barren spell.

Renwick told Westwood of his decision on Tuesday and his departure has forced him to call on Dominic Bott this week at the British Masters at the Forest of Arden.

Bott usually carries the bag for Gary Evans, who is injured this week, and is only helping Westwood out on a one-off basis.
