Trainer Dermot Weld will not make a decision on Grey Swallow's participation in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe for at least another week.
The Irish Derby winner is the 6-1 second favourite for the race with both Coral and William Hill but Weld says the colt has been "a bit flat" since he finished fourth in the Irish Champion Stakes last Saturday.
He told the Racing Post: "Grey Swallow ran a very good race in the Irish Champion but he did have quite a hard race and it has panned him out a bit.
"At this stage, he is not a definite runner in the Arc and we will wait and see how he is closer to the race before deciding if her will run."
Grey Swallow is also entered in the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket next month and Weld could send the colt there.
He added: "He is in the Champion Stakes at Newmarket on October 16th which would give him more time to recover from his Leopardstown run, should we decide the Arc might come a bit soon for him."
