Dublin

Dublin

Dublin Bus is to change its Nitelink service. From next week, buses will leave at 12.30 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays there will be three buses an hour, except on four routes. (Details: page 5).

Work on the QBC and cycle track continues on Nutgrove Avenue in Rathfarnham between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day until January 30th. Longford Street closed until February 1st. Traffic from Aungier Street will be diverted via York Street, Mercer Street Lower, Stephen Street Lower and Digges Lane.

Merchant's Quay is reduced to two lanes and travellers are asked to avoid it if possible. There is no access to Kennedy Quay from Albert Quay until February. Lavitt's Quay is reduced to a single lane westbound, between St Patrick's Bridge and Christy Ring Bridge. Liberty Street is closed from Cross Street to Courthouse Street.

Waterford

O'Connell Street is closed from the junction of Penrose Lane to Bridge Street. Roadworks continue in the Glen area. The N25 realignment project is in operation from Garramillan to Newtown for an 8.5 km stretch. In addition, a new layout has come into operation at Carroll's Cross and at Lemybrien.

Kerry

Major roadworks are ongoing on the N21 Tralee-Limerick road between Tralee and Castleisland until June.

Westmeath

Roadworks continue on the N4 at the Longford end of the Mullingar bypass from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. each evening. Line marking is being carried out on the N4 west of Mullingar bypass between Mullingar and Bunbrosna.

Kildare

The new Moone-Timolin-Ballitore bypass is now open to all traffic.

Carlow

Roadworks and temporary lights are in place on the N9, four miles south of Carlow at Loughlinbridge, between Orchard and Milford Cross. Southbound traffic for Kilkenny should divert via Athy and Castlecomer.

Louth

The Southern Link Road is now open and allows traffic direct access from the Dundalk inner relief road on the N52 Dublin-Ardee road, thus avoiding Dundalk centre.

Galway

Roadworks and temporary lights on the N17 Galway-Tuam road.

Mayo

Roadworks on the N5 between Ballyvary and Bohola.

Aer Rianta

Over 140,000 passengers are expected to pass through Dublin Airport this weekend. More than 100 charter flights have been added to the normal schedule. Passengers are asked to allow sufficient time to comply with check-in regulations. Information about parking etc may be obtained on 1800204010.
