Sean nós dancing, Viking battles and bat walks are set to keep festival-goers entertained this weekend with a number of music and sporting events taking place throughout the country.
The Rose of Tralee international festival kicks off in Co Kerry today with a treasure hunt, busking competition and the international Rose ball.
Tomorrow and Sunday will see a fancy dress parade, fireworks display, space hopper run and Kerry’s Got Talent competition taking place in the town.

National Heritage Week kicks off around the country tomorrow with a number of events taking place including bat walks, lace making demonstrations, military re-enactments, poetry readings and concerts.

Racing will take place at Ballinrobe Racecourse on Sunday with the first race at 2.45pm and the last race is at 5.45pm.
