Morris’s Builders Providers in Waterford said in a statement last night that company and employee representatives had jointly confirmed their acceptance of a proposal in relation to redundancies at the company.
Morris’s confirmed the loss of 18 jobs, the majority of which were voluntary.
Seamus Reynolds, managing director of Morris’s, said: “Our priority has always been to retain the maximum number of jobs whilst sustaining a viable business and restoring cost competitiveness to the company.
“We are extremely grateful for the support and understanding of our employees at what has been a very difficult time for everyone in the company.”
