New Delhi - An Indian judge confirmed yesterday he had issued an arrest warrant for media baron Rupert Murdoch for failing to answer summonses related to allegations that his STAR TV satellite network had broadcast obscene films.
The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of the Delhi Court, Mr Prem Kumar, said in his order that summonses had been sent directly to Australian-born Murdoch three times in the US and Australia.
The warrant was issued in response to a petition filed by Mr Arun Aggarwal, a Delhi lawyer.
