LONDON - The British Labour Party demanded yesterday that "secretative" donations to the Tories should be investigated by the Nolan Commission, following allegations that businessmen linked to the Bosnian Serb leader, Dr Radovan Karadzic, had given over £100,000 sterling to the Conservatives, writes Rachel Borrill.
As the Tory party chairman, Dr Brian Mawhinney, organised his own investigation into the allegations, the Labour deputy lender, Mr John Prescott, warned that an internal inquiry would be unsatisfactory.
