The Minister for Agriculture and Food, Mr Walsh, yesterday opened a new training facility for young farmers at Clonakilty in Co Cork.
The centre, built at a cost of £700,000, will have a computer training unit and is a major resource for students attending the Teagasc Agricultural College in the west Cork town.
Teagasc chairman Dr Tom O'Dwyer said that the facility would enable participants in training courses to avail of international experience using audio and video link-ups.
