Wing Mark Jones will miss Wales' RBS Six Nations clash against England at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.
Jones was stretchered off following a crunching collision during Wales' embarrassing 30-22 defeat by Italy in Rome last weekend.
Wales coach Steve Hansen has confirmed the 23-year-old will not be considered to face England.
"Mark is not going to be playing," Hansen said. "Of the squad that went to Italy, he is the only one unavailable."
Full-back Rhys Williams is likely to feature on the wing, with Swansea's experienced Kevin Morgan taking over in the number 15 jersey.
Hansen does not intend announcing his starting line-up until tomorrow.
Prop Martyn Madden, who is on the fringes of selection but did not make Hansen's squad in Italy, has narrowed the coach's front-row options as he continues his recovery from a shoulder injury.
Former Wales captain Scott Gibbs, meanwhile, has urged the Welsh players to "meet England head-on" in Cardiff this weekend.
