Jakarta - President Abdurrahman Wahid of Indonesia yesterday announced plans to visit two of the country's most troubled regions.
In a speech to senior lawmakers, Mr Wahid said he would visit the Moluccas this weekend and travel to the far eastern province of Irian Jaya to see in the new millennium.
But Mr Wahid did not plan to visit another restive province, Aceh, where an independence movement is trying to break away from Jakarta.
