Arsenal skipper Patrick Vieira has pledged his long-term future to the club, saying he would have no trouble in signing a four or five-year contract as soon as possible.
Vieira, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the past, did not rule out a move one day, but as far as the immediate future is concerned, he appears set to stay in London.
He also ruled out the possibility of ever playing for Manchester United.
Vieira told Sky Sportsin an interview in his native Senegal: "Of course I will stay with the club. That's what I want. I hope when I go back everything will be OK for me to sign a new contract."
Asked if Manchester United "came in with a ridiculous bid, would you play for Sir Alex Ferguson?", Vieira replied: "No, because its hard to see myself playing for another team than Arsenal.
"I have always said when I have to leave Arsenal, I will go abroad." He added he would not play for another English club.
He also said he had a lot of respect for Ferguson and Manchester United, but remarked: "I don't see myself in Manchester."
Asked if one day there could be a big move abroad, Vieira said: "You never know, this is what is exciting about football, you never know what is going to happen.
"But if you ask me, for now, I would say 'no chance'. I would love to stay at Arsenal, and I want to stay at Arsenal and if I am happy with everything about the contract I will sign for the club for four or five years, it's not a problem at all for me."
Arsenal had a relatively disappointing season by their own high standards, failing to retain their league title after finishing second to Manchester United in the premier league and also going out in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
But the team did win the FA Cup for a second successive year and also qualified for next season's Champions League campaign.
Vieira, who will be 27 next month, missed the Cup final through injury and was in Senegal on holiday before returning to for pre-season training in July.
