The United States have pulled out of next month's Federation Cup tennis finals in Madrid for security reasons.
The International Tennis Federation have been notified of the withdrawal of the defending champions.
ITF president Francesco Bitti said: "I am certain that the American team is very disappointed that they will not be able to represent their country in this year's Fed Cup World finals but, of course, we respect their concerns."
The ITF will shortly announce a replacement nation to join Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Argentina, Russia and Australia in the tournament which runs from November 7th-11th.
