US President Mr George W. Bush left Russia for France today, ending a summit which saw the signing of a landmark arms reduction treaty and the showcasing of his friendship with President Vladimir Putin.
Air Force One took off from St Petersburg's Pulkovo airport.
Mr Bush was in Russia's second city, and Mr Putin's home town, mainly for sightseeing after concluding the serious summit work with the signing of the arms treaty in Moscow on Friday.
He headed to Paris for meetings with newly re-elected President Jacques Chirac, and is due to wrap up his week-long European tour at a summit of NATO leaders in Rome.
