A US manufacturing company is to invest more than £3 million in establishing its European headquarters in Dunmanway, Co Cork, with the creation of 80 jobs. Stalcop LP which makes precision copper and plastic battery components for the aircraft manufacturing industry has already begun moving into existing premises in the town's industrial estate, and recruitment is to start immediately.
Cllr Tom O'Neill (Fianna Fail) said he was confident the company would expand its operation as well as serve to highlight the town's attractiveness as a location for other industries.
