Barcelona have edged ahead in the race to sign Ronaldinho, Paris St Germain president Francis Graille said today.
He said the bid from the Spanish giants was "completely" superior to the offer from Manchester United.
Barcelona have reportedly bid £20 million for the Brazilian star. The bid also includes two Barcelona players joining the French side. PSG have told United to move swiftly and increase their bid.
Graille wants the situation resolved "as soon as possible" and when asked if he would be meeting United chief executive Peter Kenyon, he said: "Nothing has been planned so far but things can happen very quickly".
Barcelona have made Ronaldinho their prime target since losing out on David Beckham.
Ronaldinho has said he wants to join United, but he and his agent, brother Roberto Assis, are understood to be disappointed by the protracted nature of the transfer.
He is known to be enthusiastic about playing in Spain but would have preferred to join Real Madrid.
