Manchester United have increased their bid for PSG midfielder Ronaldinho to €30 million, sources within the French club have said.
"Manchester are now very near PSG expectations, at least €30 million before any profit-sharing scheme," PSG sources told today's L'Equipe.
"They came with good arguments, practically what we were expecting from them."
L'Equipealso reported that Barcelona have made a similar bid for the Brazilian World Cup winner.
United manager Alex Ferguson said yesterday his club were close to completing a deal with PSG.
Meanwhile Spain winger Joaquin claims he has turned down the chance to fillUnited's right-wing berth which was vacated when David Beckham left for Real Madrid.
The Real Betis youngster was, according to his club's website, approached byUnited through them but the player declined the offer, preferring to stay withhis hometown team.
Joaquin, 21, insists he will stay at Betis for as long as they want him, providing they increase their latest contract offer.
"Although my father takes care of contract renewals, and he has been keepingme informed, the truth is that I know that clearly I am wanted here at Betis, because I don't want to go to Manchester, to Italy or to Argentina," saidJoaquin.
"The life of a footballer is short and I know that in the future I must haveenough money to live serenely with my family.
"If they meet my demands, I will not considering going elsewhere because, asI said, I've no desire to leave."
