Union seeks curb on house prices

House prices must be curbed if low-paid workers are to be able to afford their own homes, Mandate's Galway organiser, Mr Pat Hardiman said. He said members working in Galway city were having to commute from Tuam or smaller towns beyond the county boundary because they cannot afford to live near their work.
