A British woman convicted of killing her six-year-old stepdaughter has been jailed for 15 years.

A British woman convicted of killing her six-year-old stepdaughter has been jailed for 15 years.

Tracey Wright was found guilty of manslaughter and wilful neglect by a jury at Norwich Crown Court last month.

Her stepdaughter, Lauren Wright, died at Welney, Norfolk, in May 2000.

A post mortem discovered over 60 bruises on the child's body. She had been repeatedly beaten and weighed only three stone when she died.
